1. Igloo Hotel  

this abandoned structure didn't quite make the cut of structural requirements of a safe hotel. now stands along the highway just north of anchorage on the way to denali national park.

2. Denali National Park 

Three hours into this park you haven't even touched the surface of how grand this park really is. mountains, rivers, and wildlife everywhere. we saw a brown bear, caribou and other wildlife along this road

3. Denali National Park, Again!

just outside of the denali entrance, we couldn't help (ok corey could have avoided) but climb this rail road suspended over the park!

7. Road Patrol is Pretty Tough

this beauty was stationed comfortably along the side of the highway (obviously!) and didn't budge while i inched closer and closer.

8. Low Tide on the Bay of Valdez

12. Suicidal Goats or Just Life?

if you see cars parked on the side of a desolate road, stop! because they probably spotted some wildlife. here we spotted a mom and baby mountain goat making their way through an extremely steep cliff along the higway! had to zoom quite a bit here so it isn't in perfect focus but youc an see the babe making strategic step decisions.

13. Boat Junk Yard in Homer

could you help yourself with this texture!? are we in the desert!? nope. just a boat junkyard outside of homer. had no clue but... there's an eagle on top of the highest peak of the fallen wall. see him?

14. Kenai

after one hiking trail was blocked off due to danger of bears, we chose a lighter path to this incredibly steep overlook. again, no people, just us. Dont forget to make noise through the woods - bears could be anywhere!

15. Exit Glacier Creeps it's Way from the Ice Field

one of the most unforgettable sites (where i fell in love with glaciers) was this spot we picked for our lunch overlooking the glacier almost at the top of the harding ice trail. 2 more hours of trekking to go!  Do you see the mountain goats that joined us?

17. Midnight Sun in Seward

it's true, the sun doesn't set but dips behind the horizon, thus the midnight sun.

18. The FRESHEST Halibut & Chips

where else would you have the best fish n chips? probably in seward where today's halibut is whats on the plate!  melts. in. your. mouth.

20. Whale Sightings During our Fishing Trip

not only did we witness multiple whales, but also orkas swimming by our boat, take a fishing trip, avoid touristy whale watching boats.
